A trial fibrillation (AF) is the most common arrhythmia in patients with heart failure (HF) with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). Previous studies identified that AF increases with more severe disease, as determined by New York Heart Association (NYHA) functional class, and portends worse outcomes (1,2). However, limitations exist in these studies, including the inclusion of other well-known prognostic markers in statistical models.
