Drug synergy: Non-cytotoxic synthetic mannopyranosyl-arabinofuranoside heptasaccharide glycolipids have been identified as potent dose-dependent inhibitors of biofilms of M. smegmatis, with minimum biofilm growth inhibition concentrations (MBICs) of 100 μg mL−1. These glycolipids also synergistically augment the MBIC of isoniazid more than threefold, at 30 μg mL−1.
