Take Pd–Te, peroxide: Near-100 % selectivity was achieved for H2O2 synthesis directly from O2 and H2 under ambient pressure over Pd–Te catalysts. Experimental and theoretical studies demonstrated that the addition of Te promoted the dispersion of Pd and remarkably inhibited the dissociation activation of O2 and H2O2, leading to the high selectivity toward H2O2.
